The new “Communication and Design Manual” for the EEA Grants 2021–2028 is now available.
Prepared by the Communication Unit of the Financial Mechanism Office (FMO), the Manual is a practical tool for all actors involved in the implementation and communication of the Grants. It provides guidance for effective, consistent and strategic communication, in line with the regulatory requirements of the new funding period, with a particular focus on visibility, transparency and results.
The Manual includes guidance on planning and delivering communication activities across different channels and formats, including websites, social media, campaigns, publications, events, press activities, photo material and audio-visual content. It also provides technical guidance on the correct use of the visual identity, logos, colours, templates and other branding elements of the Grants.
Communication is a shared responsibility of all actors involved. Through clear, accurate, and coordinated communication, we raise public awareness of the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, highlight the added value of bilateral cooperation, and make the results and impact of programmes and projects visible to wider audiences.
The Manual serves as a reference point for National Focal Points, Programme Operators, Project Promoters, and all partners communicating activities funded by the EEA Grants. All communication activities for the 2021–2028 period are framed by the overarching narrative: Working together for a green, democratic and resilient Europe.
