November 2024: A month of celebration for the EEA Grants and the National Focal Point
This November, we celebrated 30 years of EEA Grants in Greece, bringing together the Grants community and donor countries to reflect on impactful collaboration and plan for the 2021–2028 funding period. A highlight of the month was showcasing our Communications work as a best practice at a Brussels workshop, affirming our commitment to excellence.
We believe in the power of collaboration because
#WeCanBecomeMore — together.
With warm regards,
The National Focal Point Team

Athens: Open dialogue at Zappeion
Looking ahead to a brighter future, donor country and Greek representatives gathered at Zappeion for an open dialogue. Discussions centered on the role of EEA

«30 Years – 30 images»
The stunning “30 Years–30 Images” art installation brought our anniversary celebrations to life. While it remains on display in Athens, you can enjoy a virtual tour of the 30 most iconic projects funded by the Grants.

Annual Meeting, November 13
In a fitting conclusion to the current funding period, we hosted our Annual Meeting with representatives from donor countries, Program Operators, and Implementing Entities.
Together, we reviewed project outcomes, shared lessons learned, and prepared for the new funding period (2021–2028).

Communication: Reflection and recognition
The month culminated in a proud moment at the Annual Comms Meeting (Fall Edition) in Brussels, where we presented our anniversary Communications activities
as a best practice. Representing Greece among 15 beneficiary countries, this marks the fourth consecutive time our efforts in Communications have received international recognition.

“Reviving the Ancient Agora, the Birthplace of Democracy”
Travel back to 2012, when the EEA Grants co-funded the revival of the iconic Stoa of Attalos. This project not only honored Greece’s cultural heritage but also transformed the space into a hub of educational and tourism value, bridging history and modernity for future generations.
