  • Time: 17:00
  • Location: Zappeion Megaron, Athens

Celebrate a landmark occasion with us as the EEA Grants marks 30 years of dedication to social justice and sustainable development in Greece and across Europe!

Join us on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 17:00, at the iconic Zappeion Megaron in Athens.

The event will bring together prominent voices, including the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, General Secretary of ESPA, Ms. Vasiliki Pantelopoulou, and esteemed government officials, alongside representatives from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. Distinguished speakers will share insights on how EEA Grants have fostered social progress, reduced inequalities, and supported bilateral collaborations that pave the way for a fairer, more prosperous society.

The program offers thought-provoking discussions on two pressing themes: environmental protection and energy policy and social solidarity and support for vulnerable groups. Broader topics in education, cultural heritage, and technological innovation—essential pillars in the donor countries’ funding priorities—will also be explored.

This is a unique opportunity to connect with leaders, project participants, and representatives from the EEA donor countries and Greek authorities, all united in vision and action for a better future. Don’t miss the chance to join in creative dialogue, discover the achievements of the EEA Grants, and gain fresh insights into Greece’s evolving social and environmental landscape.

Adding to the experience, the courtyard of Zappeion Megaron will feature an inspiring art installation, “30 Years–30 Images,” showcasing the 30 most emblematic EEA projects in Greece, each capturing the spirit and impact of three decades of transformative work.

Organized by the General Secretariat of ESPA through the National Focal Point, this event is set to be a memorable celebration of commitment and community.
