Women in the EEA Grants Community
Women in the EEA Grants community are leaders in promoting social justice, innovation, and sustainable development. As researchers, entrepreneurs, public administration professionals, and activists, they play a key role in shaping policies and actions that enhance equality and human rights. Through EEA Grants funding, they have the opportunity to implement projects that empower vulnerable groups, combat gender-based violence, strengthen women’s entrepreneurship, and promote women’s participation in decision-making.
This community represents a vibrant network of solidarity and collaboration, where women from different sectors and countries share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions. Through their actions, they demonstrate that gender equality is not just a goal but a fundamental condition for sustainable and fair social development.

#WeCanBecomeMore

Equalgen – Young people for gender equality
“Through the #Equal_Gen campaign, we aim to free women from the second-guessing that often overwhelms them when trying to set boundaries. And we don’t stop there. We envision an environment where every woman, after each yes or no, will not feel guilt, anxiety, or fear about how she will be judged.”

GLI4W – Greek Innovation Lab for Women
The project integrated the gender dimension into research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, driving transformative changes in the Greek economy. Through strategic collaborations and knowledge exchange, it developed gender-sensitive innovations that empower women as active participants in the innovation ecosystem, contributing to sustainable and digital recovery.

Roma girls and women are changing their fate
“I want to be a hairdresser,” “I want to be a psychologist,” “I want to be a kindergarten teacher.” In schools in Western Greece, the female students wrote their dreams on a blank sheet of paper. We heard them whispering whether they would marry the one they love or pursue a career, discussing why they like being girls—and why not.

The SAFENET project: Supporting girls who are victims of violence
Online violence against girls, with its gendered dimension, is now recognized globally as a serious issue. It urgently demands the attention of victim support services, policymakers, and the public. This widespread problem impacts the well-being and future of many girls, highlighting the need for collective action, empathy, and immediate intervention.
A women’s alliance can make a difference
The “Alliance for the Awareness and Empowerment of Roma Women” aimed at preventing and combating stereotypes both within Roma communities and in society. Awareness workshops, media training with professionals, and a targeted information campaign were implemented to amplify the voice and participation of women.

Womentors: Empowering young women…
…through education and skill-building, helping them gain financial independence, political representation, labor rights, and work-life balance. By ensuring their active participation, we enable them to confidently shape their future with equality, freedom, and the power to make meaningful choices in every aspect of their lives.
