The EEA Civil Society Fund Greece, with a total grant of €14.3 million, is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2021–2028.

The programme aims to strengthen a vibrant and resilient civil society that protects and promotes democracy, the rule of law and human rights. Through 12 open calls, it will support more than 120 projects implemented by civil society organisations across Greece.

The Fund in Greece is jointly managed by the Bodossaki Foundation and SolidarityNow.

Its activities will focus on six thematic areas, including democracy and civic participation, media and information integrity, human rights and social justice, gender equality, climate action and the green transition, and the organisational development and sustainability of civil society organisations.

The programme will also support capacity building, networking and bilateral and regional cooperation with civil society organisations in the Donor States and across the EEA Grants beneficiary countries.

The programme’s launch event will take place on 16 September 2026.
