Roma Inclusion and Empowerment
Enhanced inclusion and empowerment of Roma
The programme implements various Roma integration measures, including employment, education, and health, as well as the promotion of equal treatment and respect for the fundamental rights of the Roma communities. Furthermore, Small Grant Scheme projects tackle employment opportunities, inform the Roma people about the chances of becoming entrepreneurs on their own –both women and the young–as well as include Roma children in summer camps throughout Greece. In addition, the implementation of a Taskforce Unit in areas of high concentration of Roma populations will ensure the effective implementation of the national strategy of Roma inclusion as it will partake in support of local government and the activation of the Roma population in all policy measures concerning social inclusion (housing, education, employment, health, empowerment, etc.).
