EEA Grants Greece: Visit of the European and Development Programmes Management Agency to the accommodation structure that will host extremely vulnerable groups of immigrants in the town of Pyrgos.

The European and Development Programmes Management Agency of the Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection, acting as Programme Operator of the GR-Home Affairs Programme, entitled “Capacity Building of National Asylum and Migration Management Systems”, co-financed by EEA Grants Financial Mechanism, visited on 03.03.2023 the premises that will host the accommodation facility for extremely vulnerable group of migrants, in the context of Pre-Defined Project 7, entitled: “Enhancing first reception conditions and services provided to third-country nationals”.

The accommodation structure has a total budget of €3.229.586,00 and a maximum capacity of 200 people, refers to extremely vulnerable groups of migrants, excluding unaccompanied minors (e.g. single parented families, women in labor, and women victims of sexual and gender-based violence) and it is estimated and is expected to welcome its first guests in due time, under the auspices of the Reception and Identification Service of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.
